Following the Pretoria Art Museum ?s involvement in the Germany / South Africa Bilateral Exchange Programme/project (2006 ? 2009) which sought to develop new, young , up and coming curators both in South Africa and Germany. Through this first chance experience achievement of the exchange programme the Rehearsal Exhibition was planned to give one of the nominee of the exchange programme Nthabiseng R. Montshiwa, a platform to curate an exhibition which will reflect and demonstrate an intense experience gathered from the Bilateral Exchange Programme . The exhibition was mounted at the Centurion Art Gallery which is a satellite gallery of the Pretoria Art Museum, the exhibition brought together a group of ten young artists in an exhibition.
TUT 4th Year
Exhibition for Tshwane University Of Technoloy Students who were in their 4th year. The show also had an award which was presented by Thea Van Schalkwyk.
The young curator show was entitled “ BestBeforeThreeTen”.In simple principle this meant displayed work was available until the third of October.
This exhibition projected artworks of (mixed media) by artists representing three to four different regions in Gauteng including North West (Pretoria, Vaal, Johannesburg, and Potchefstroom). Artists who in the past years have completed their studies in any institutions around the mentioned areas. In this way the exhibition emphasized artistic relations and, awareness and the vitality of creative communities amongst artists.
